GNOME Themes Extras
GNOME Themes Extras is a collection of metathemes for the GNOME desktop environment. This package provides GNOME users an extra set of themes that are functional and attractive, often sporting a distinct appearance that you won't find in the primary themes package. Most of the graphics in these themes contain SVG vector graphics.
The Amaranth metatheme features stylish icons by Michael Doches and is paired up with a matching GTK+ theme courtesy of our own GTK+ theme master Andrew Johnson. Amaranth offers a distinct greyish look using less colours and clearer shapes than most other themes and should appeal to those who like their desktop minimalistic yet stylish. Its subdued colours and clear symbolism should make it a popular sight in the enterprise.

GorillaThe Gorilla theme was the first complete SVG theme for GNOME. It is revamped here for the GNOME 2.2 desktop with a new window-manager and gtk theme companion. The Gorilla theme is created and maintained by one of gnomes most beloved artists; Jakub 'Jimmac' Steiner. The Gorilla GTK+ theme uses the new Industrial theme engine from Novell/Ximian. Gorilla offers a clean and soft look giving users a pleasant use experience. It combines conservative design principles with an innovative and consistent look.
LushThe Lush metatheme is the result of a collaboration between star graphics artist David Vignoni and myself. In additon to David's beautiful graphics it is matched by a Lush GTK theme using the Smooth theme-engine and a GTK+ color inheriting windowmanager theme based upon the Galaxy wm theme from Mandrake Linux. The characteristic spiral sheets used as the documents icons in this theme gives is a distinct and eye-catching look.
Nuvola The Nuvola theme also features a set of beautiful SVG icons from David Vignoni. New details in this release are new and updated menu icons including a proper logout and lock screen icon. This theme is already quite popular and its the favourite theme of librsvg maintainer Dom Lachowicz for instance. The GTK theme for Nuvola is made by
Smooth creator Andrew Johnson himself especially for Nuvola and looks striking. It is matched by a Metacity theme made by myself based upon the GnomeIridium theme originally used with Nuvola and the Gorilla metacity theme. The graphics currently used will be replaced by more proper Nuvola graphics by David in a later release.

WaspLast, but not least is the Wasp metatheme. This theme takes its inspiration from the original look of BeOS, but it is in no way meant as a clone of that desktop.
It features some beautful icons created by Matthew McClintock, including some very nice navigation icons he made for us to complete the theming of the Nautilus toolbar. It features matching metacity and Smooth based GTK+ theme made by me. Wasp offers sharp edges and sharp colours, this theme is a perfect match between strict order and rebelious chaos.
